GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide individuals who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance to pay for their care with an estimate of the expected cost of services.

If you are uninsured or plan to pay for services yourself, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care is expected to cost.

You may ask Savannah Goudreau Counseling for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you schedule services at least three business days in advance, you are generally entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate within the timeframes established by federal law.

Your Good Faith Estimate will include the expected charges for the services reasonably anticipated as part of your care.

If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Make sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
